Aetrex Women's Mandehle Comfortable Walking Sandals with Arch Support - Perfect for Travel, Beach & Summer Outfits

I noticed that the one I ordered was a returned item and that's the last pair available but I kept it coz I really need it.. Very comfortable anyway.. Very noticeable n obvious it's a returned/used item.. I should at least get a discount ..I bought these from The Walking Company, which is a store I generally trust for long lasting, durable shoes. I don't mind spending a bit more, because I know whatever I buy there will be quality.Except, it seems, this time.I purchased two pairs of Aetrex Mandehle Sandalistas last summer, one black and one brown. I found them extremely comfortable, especially with the adjustable sole cushion. However, I quickly noticed that the shoes were extremely squeaky. I hoped that this would stop with use, but this turned out not to be the case. Also, within a month of purchase the sole on the brown pair began to peel away from the top part of the sandal. And this morning the ankle support strap on the black pair came undone. When I looked at it, it quickly became apparent that the stitching holding the strap around the buckle ring was shoddy and had snapped. I wound up "fixing" the strap with a heavy duty stapler; otherwise I would be walking around my office wearing only one shoe.For the price of these sandals, I would expect to get more than one season's use out of them. I would certainly expect them to not fall apart before there's any visible wear on the soles. This was my first experience with Aetrex shoes, and I can say with confidence that it will also be my last. I definitely won't be wasting my money on this overpriced garbage in the future.
